Today is a video blog. I was thinking about it as I was driving today...how we can sit through 24/7 news feeds of tragedies around the world...how we can turn blind eyes to suffering or simply shut off the channel. But if we let something touch us, is that a bad thing? So I ask you to watch. And, yes, I'm fine. Of course I'm fine. I'm a tough cookie. But that doesn't mean that I don't feel pain or sadness. Smitten With Kittens isn't derailing me. It makes me stronger, a fighter, a better person. I'm strong enough to share with you true emotions, because anything else would be false and doesn't do justice to the Smitten With Kittens Initiative.

Oh my gosh, you all are incredible!!!!! There is a very special place in heaven for you folks. I'd be in therapy, am not tough enough to do what you do. It's much easier to write a check to help out, so am going to do that again now.

So unnecessary when looking at the tools available to us via spay/neuter. At least its purr was captured for time. I find solace, and heartbreak, in that. Love, Chandra
ReplyDeleteYou guys truly do amazing work... I'm very sad about the passing of this little one (and all the other unnecessary deaths), but at least it was loved, and hopefully showing people the reality of kitten season will inspire them to neuter/spay their cats. Seeing how many mamas and babies there are in the local kill shelters right now and how many of them are being destroyed is just plain awful. Thanks for making a difference!
